About the Glory Gospel Group
The original Glory Gospel Group started 1999 after spending many a day singing with Jim playing guitar at Old Timers Day with a few "old Timers" in Cades Cove, Tennessee for several years prior to the group getting together.
We are all proud members of the Cades Cove Preservation Association.
In 2009 we came back to where our music started in God's country- beautiful East Tennessee.
We still enjoy volunteering for the nursing/assisted living homes
In the humble beginning
The current Glory Gospel Group members formed in 2002 as camping neighbors, we would gather around the camp fire at the Timberwoods Campground in Van Wert, OH singing old folk & Gospel songs.
Campers & guests passing by would say" you don't hear them being sung anymore" They would return with a chair in tow to sit & enjoy the music.
After the season ended~The group decided to share the music at nursing homes and give back to those who cannot get out anymore & sometimes are forgotten.
As time went on, and the word spread, we were asked to sing at other functions. Listings here
